Congratulations to Rosalind Russell-Smith, Managing Solicitor from ALSWA’s South Hedland Office.

Rosalind is the most worthy winner of the Andrew Hodge Award for the 2013 Young Criminal Lawyer of the Year, which was presented at the annual Criminal Law Association (CLAWA) dinner recently.

The Hodge Award is an annual award recognising the contribution made by a young criminal lawyer to the practice of criminal law in Western Australia.

Having worked tirelessly over the last couple of years as the managing lawyer in ALSWA’s Hedland office Rosalind previously worked in ALSWA’s Perth office and was single-handedly responsible for the preparation of well over 150 serious and complex criminal matters falling under the Indigenous Justice Taskforce banner.

“I am incredibly proud of Rosalind Russell-Smith’s work with ALSWA. She is an incredibly dedicated lawyer who is passionate about her work and we are so very proud that she is part of our team”, said Peter Collins, ALSWA Director Legal Services.
